With 95km per hour winds, courtesy of Storm Ciara, we haven’t dared go out in the van this weekend. So as we didn’t have an adventure to blog about, we thought we’d answer questions we’ve had on the bike rack and also on the portable battery device that we have mentioned in previous blogs and videos.
The portable battery, otherwise known as a portable generator, was an excellent purchase. Ironically we have used it inside the house to power things when we had a power cut during a different storm a few weeks ago. You can watch a video review of the battery on the link below.
The bike rack was a custom job i.e. we made it to specifically fit the bikes and the motorhome garage space that we had. We are delighted with it as we can easily store the bikes and all the associated gear and is so easy to use. Having the bikes inside the van means they are protected from the winter weather conditions when we are driving and that they are safely out of sight at night.
