Finally we had a break in the weather after 4 consecutive weekends of storms. We are in the Caringorms which is a rescheduled trip from a few weeks ago when during one of the storms our basement flooded and we had to cancel.
Today we were on the fatbikes and cycled from the town up to Cairngorm Mountain. The headwind was fierce for the last few miles but it was fun to get up there on the bikes and have a go cycling some of the smaller snowy slopes.

The ride back down the mountain was much faster as the wind was behind us. At one point we were actually blown up a hill which was a really wierd experience.
On the way back we cycled along the beach at Loch Morlich. The winter sun was beautiful on the water but too cold for a dip!

Finished the day with a pint in front of the fire at the Old Bridge Inn and a red thai curry in the van. A perfect day :).
