North York Moors Adventures

This weekend we are in the North York Moors in Rosedale Abbey. Another beautiful location. And another location where every bike ride or walk starts with a large climb!

The climbs here are steeper but much shorter though than our last trip to Ballater which means the pain is short lived before we emerge onto stunning bridleways and long single track trails. The scenery is really varied and dotted with lots of features like disused railways which lead to old iron smelters built into the hillsides and which are still in good condition today

Best buddies back together again

The descent from “Fryup ridge” was entertaining. Can you spot 3 of us amongst the ferns?!?

The most technical descent

It is nice to be somewhere that really embraces visitors and mountain bikers in particular. The tea shop yesterday was one of the best we’d been to. And very Covid safe procedures as well.
