The best single track ever

Many areas we have visited have claimed to have the best single track trails ever and the same is true of the MTB route maps in Rosedale Abbey. Having said that, the best single track trail here is really good fun to ride rolling up and down through the heather through beautiful scenery.

On every ride we have seen wildlife. Today’s excitement was an adder that was sunning itself right on the trail! Luckily no one got bitten as none of us were sure exactly what we were supposed to do if that happened. We’ve also seen weasels, llamas, rabbits, chickens, toads, partridges, sheep, goats, cows, squirrels and birds of prey.

Just been for a walk around the village which is so cute that it only took 15 min to walk around. There isn’t much that remains of the Cistercian abbey but there are 2 lovely tea shops and 2 pubs. Great place to stay.
