What a lovely Christmas Day. Woke to temperatures well below zero so were glad for the presents of extra warm cycling gear.
Set off at 9:30 and had the trails pretty much to ourselves! It was a beautiful clear day but the wind was blowing higher up where we could see the snow moving around on the hills. I made good use of my winter bike tyres and was much more confident on the icy patches, although perhaps too confident, as I went straight over the handlebars at one point…. will save that photo until the bruise is fully developed :).
Last night we walked into town to enjoy the Christmas lights and stopped for a mulled cider at the Old Bridge Inn.
