The snow has finally arrived and the cold temperatures along with it. The heating worked nicely in the van and we were toasty warm in our bed but we still got icy bits forming on some of the windows and metal panels inside and the water system seems to be frozen.
Got up early this morning to head up the mountain and grab some great photos in the morning light along the way.
Snowshoed from the lower carpark at Cairngorm Mountain up and across to the base station. We didn’t expect the snow to be so deep. Lovely but very hard work. Should have brought the backcountry ski stuff instead as we could easily have skied down.
Excellent day out and having the 4 wheel drive was excellent as no stressing about getting where we wanted to go. Happy days.
