We’ve come to Braemar for the weekend where the temperatures have achieved a record high!
It has been lovely to enjoy leaving the van open during the day. The max fans have been a great way to get airflow to shift the hot air and the little back door windows have been opened for the first time to cool us down at night.
We never thought we’d put the awning out for its intended purpose as a sun shade 🤣. Usually in Scotland it is more effective as a rain shelter 😬.
We loved cycling in shorts even if the heather shredded our legs on the single track. I am clearly out of practice exercising in the heat as needed a “Power Nap” nap when I got back to the van.
Anyway, we have enjoyed a couple of lovely evenings sitting out and BBQing. Long may this summer continue !
