When we were in St Abbs a month ago we discovered that during November the grey seals returned to the local coves to have their pups. At the time we saw several female seals start to come onto land but it was too early to see the pups. So today that’s where we returned. We walked the coastal path within the RSPB reserve at St Abbs Head and look what we saw! So cute.

Sunset at the moment is 3:45pm as the shortest day of the year gets closer. We sometimes play games in the van during the longer evenings. Last night we tried Backgammon for the first time. Illya remembered playing this when he was younger and wanted to try it again. Needless to say, he won!

Today we drove to Glentress forest at Peebles. We haven’t been here since before the pandemic and it has changed a lot. There are new camping facilities now so we are staying here for the first time. The facilities are a bit basic and the pitch is not flat, but we have the benefit of being right at the trail head. We enjoyed a great evening bike ride with our lights. Fun fun fun.
