The last few days have been very very windy so our goal was to stay on lower ground that was more sheltered.
On Sunday we started out to walk from Upper Burnside through to the Craigellachie nature reserve. But on the way we spotted some trails winding through the woods and couldn’t resist checking them out. We ended up walking along the edge of the nature reserve and round in a 10km loop which was just beautiful.

Monday we decided to ride some of the Upper Burnside bike trails we had rediscovered on our walk the day before. The benefit of the wind is that the trails are lovely and dry and super fun and flowy to ride. After I’d had enough climbing hills we took a detour along the Aviemore orbital trail so we could finish with more single track back along the railway.
