A “room” with a view

Some days are just so lovely that you need to slowdown and watch the world go by. Friday was one of those days, the sunniest and hottest day of the year so far; a great start to spring.

At lunch time we took in the views at the shores of Loch Morlich with the ski hill in the distance.

In the afternoon we went up to the lower mountain car park which was the site of the first ski lift back in the day. We climbed up Coire Laogh Mor for even better views down to the car park and across to the ski runs.

We decided to stay overnight so we could watch the sunset. It was a very clear evening with just a hint of northern lights later on.

The cloud in the morning interrupted the sunrise but we managed to get a peek.

Bacon sandwiches always taste better when camping out.
