Autumn Colours

Woke up this morning to a beautiful sunrise and sheep grazing outside of the window.

Headed inland to Contin where we discovered some great mountain biking trails close to those at Strathpeffer which we previously enjoyed. The autumn colours in the woods were incredible as well as the waterfalls which were full from all the recent rain.

Second night off the grid and everything is holding up so far. Battery power replenished with the drive east from Poolewe. The gas heating is coping with the close to zero temperatures at night and the water supplies are okay – unsurprising as I was challenged to shower in less than 1.75 litres of water as this is what Illya read is possible ?!?! I think we will still have enough water after the laptop battery has died…. let’s see if we stay off the grid then! 🙂

Love the sheepies. The window photo looks like a photograph.

Good luck with the water rations. Here’s hoping the wee van doesn’t turn into a wee-smelly van.

Have fun and keep posting. Loving the tales from the Rudkin RV!
