We were very excited to wake up to snow today. We put the awning out thinking how clever it was to shelter from the snow whilst we got the bikes ready. The smug smile soon faded however after many many failed attempts to wind the awning back in as the wet snow had stuck to it. Eventually it warmed up and turned to rain for a little while which was just the window of time we needed to sort problem number one.

They say things come in threes …. well next the plastic garage door lock snapped off. Luckily it snapped in the unlocked position so we can still secure the van using a screwdriver !?! …… and then I discovered I had a flat tyre.
Eventually we headed off for our snowy bike ride. The snow was beautiful but very wet so it made for hard cycling. We’d had quite a workout by the time we got up to the Cairngorm mountain. Not enough snow to ski yet but a great start to the base layer the mountain very much needs. It is a late start to winter this year.

If every day was perfect, the perfect days wouldn’t feel special would they 🙂

Trials and tribulations 😀 but it’s all experience. Have a good time, no snow here yet this month.
