The End of the Road

Having enjoyed several days at the coast we decided to head back East to Bonar Bridge. We wanted to explore some cycle trails which we hadn’t been to for some time. The trails are in Balblair Woods but there are lots of sections with natural rock which make it fun to ride and add to the beauty of the location.

We had planned to stay in the Black Isle area for the night but the heavy fog that was sitting over the East coast hadn’t shifted all day and so we were tempted back to the West for the night instead. We decided to make our way to the Nevis Range near Fort William. It is possible to stay there for the night in the camping van and we planned to ride the trails the next morning. It was a good decision as we enjoyed a sunny evening there.

Unfortunately Illya became very unwell in the night as he had picked up a nasty bug and so we decided it was best to head home the next morning. This road trip has come to an end, a couple days earlier than planned, but we had a wonderful time and made lots of great memories.
