We have spent the last 2 days at Loch Doon and the weather and scenery have both been spectacular.

We walked Ness Glen which was a relatively short but beautiful river gorge route.

We also cycled to the head of the loch, taking in the forest drive road and also Loch Doon Castle which was relocated and reassembled in 1935 before the valley was flooded to create the reservoir.

Off to Drumlanrig Castle tomorrow for the Southern Scotland Outdoor Festival which were are hoping will be fun despite the rain that is forecast.
Oh and almost forgot … personal admin … but we used the Wash.ME laundry for the first time and I have to say it was pretty good! These “pods” are set up in petrol stations and other remote locations to help provide access to laundry facilities and it was much needed as only one of the campsites on this trip had a laundry facility.
