Last night we stayed on a farm near Alyth in Perthshire. Another 4WD drive through this 800 acre farm with a choice of spots to stay. We chose this beautiful location near a small loch.
We hadn’t realised how noisy the sheep and cows would be at sunset! We enjoyed a fire pit in the evening whilst we watched the swallows dive into the water and the fish jump to catch insects. We had a rare sighting of oyster catchers too.
Went out today for a local cycle. I spent time planning a route using the OS maps as well as Trail Forks but on the ground in reality we found many of the paths overgrown and hard to navigate. Managed to get lost a few times but I guess that added to the adventure.
